String Quartet music

We are so often told that the reason we are booked is for our prolific repertoire – the choice of music we have is huge and keeps growing.

We started the quartet in 1997 and we had just 2 folders of music – now we have 14 ‘pads’ which equates to 550 pieces of music and 56 folders that we bring to every booking in 4 very large suitcases!

Looking ahead to April and new repertoire

We have ten weddings in April. Venues include Shottle Hall, Barton Hall, Stoke Rochford Hall, Norwood Park, Coombe Abbey, Swancar Farm and Risley Hall.

New songs ready for these Spring weddings include Start me Up (Rolling Stones), extracts from the Sound of Music and How Long will I love you (Ellie Goulding).

A busy February

January and February are usually fairly quiet  months for Highly Strung Quartet but this year has been a bit of an exception. We started the year with four weddings in January and February had four corporate events in store plus a rather romantic wedding at the beautiful Thrumpton Hall.

Three of our performances were open to the public and it was great to meet clients past, present and future in Nottingham at the Galleries of Justice, the Victoria Centre and the Broadmarsh Centre.

63 more engagements booked in for the rest of 2015 and 9 bookings for 2016 already.

A busy Highly Strung is a happy Highly Strung :-)

Talbot Hotel Wedding Fayre Sunday 22nd February 2015

We are excited to announce that we will be performing at the Talbot Hotel Wedding Fayre in Oundle on Sunday 22nd February. We will be playing between 11am and 1pm and it would be lovely to meet potential Brides and Grooms and play your requests.

Autumn and Winter (Christmas!) Weddings…

With the new weather we are experiencing it feels like our summer wedding season is over! We have 3 more weddings this month, a few autumn weddings next month and then we are suddenly into Christmas weddings and events. We love playing seasonal repertoire and there is something rather special about having a Christmas Carol in for church weddings in place of a hymn. Please click on our Christmas repertoire to find out what we have.
