After a quiet January, Highly Strung is now looking forward to a Spring and Summer of weddings at venues across the Midlands.

We are returning to some of our favourite venues including Tom Browns, Stubton Hall, Prestwold Hall, Swancar Farm, Harts, Compton Verney, Packington Moor, Moxhull Hall Hotel and Kilworth House as well as playing at some venues that are new to us.

2014 sees HSQ playing at the Malmaison in Birmingham, Ardencote Manor, Warwick House, the William Cecil Hotel, Losehill House and Ashton Lodge.

The quartet kick start February with a wedding at Harts, Nottingham and two parties – one for Warwick University Law Society and the other a celebration of birthdays at Belton Woods De Vere Hotel.

March is also looking busy with weddings and a return to Stoke Hall for the Sentinel’s annual awards ceremony.

Situated on the border of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. Easy to access from Nottingham, Derby, Leicester from the M1 / A50 / A453.

We love the long winding drive down to this superb wedding venue. Its such a beautiful setting near the lake and the wedding organisers there work so hard to make sure your special day is exactly how you want it. Highly Strung Quartet always love coming here.

Cathedral Quarter Hotel

Derby

Located in the centre of Derby this excellent wedding venue is a luxurious and contemporary hotel which also hosts a mini spa. Our string quartet has played here many a time for weddings and also corporate events for local companies in Derby and Derbyshire.

The Priest House at Castle Donington

Situated on the border of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.

A superb setting near the river with a fine reputation for its food. It is also renowned for its romantic and contemporary rooms. Highly Strung String Quartet love playing here for wedding ceremonies in the Garden Room or for drinks receptions outside with the sound of the river in the background. Again, a venue in a great location with easy access from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.

Wethele Manor

If you like picturesque, this is the wedding venue of choice in Warwickshire – absolutely delightful and with wedding planners that bend over backwards for you. A must see… the gorgeous pagoda in the grounds in which Highly Strung String Quartet can play – definitely one of Warwickshire’s finest

A beautiful setting in Staffordshire… they call it a country house barn – a real mix of elegant and beautiful and a perfect choice if you want your wedding venue to be light and airy. There is a lovely balcony on which Highly Strung Quartet can play for your ceremony and is only 25 miles from Stafford.

Stamford in Lincolnshire

Luxury accommodation and fine dining – this ancient hotel is a gem in Lincolnshire. Highly Strung Quartet love to play here for weddings. Perfect for couples looking to get married in a beautiful historic town.

Norwood Park

Southwell, Nottinghamshire

This super venue in Southwell is a Georgian house set in hundreds of acres of parkland but only 30 minutes drive from Nottingham. Luxurious and traditional this venue is perfect for weddings. Highly Strung Quartet have played here often for weddings, corporate events and charity functions

Moxhull Hall Hotel

Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands

A Victorian mansion has all the grandeur of a counry house wedding venue but with a superb contemporary feel. This should definitely be on the shortlist for your special day and Highly Strung Quartet would love to play here more! Only two new venues for us during this time – Brownsover Hall in Rugby and Brewood Hall in Staffordshire.
