A busy February

January and February are usually fairly quiet  months for Highly Strung Quartet but this year has been a bit of an exception. We started the year with four weddings in January and February had four corporate events in store plus a rather romantic wedding at the beautiful Thrumpton Hall.

Three of our performances were open to the public and it was great to meet clients past, present and future in Nottingham at the Galleries of Justice, the Victoria Centre and the Broadmarsh Centre.

63 more engagements booked in for the rest of 2015 and 9 bookings for 2016 already.

A busy Highly Strung is a happy Highly Strung :-)

Autumn and Winter (Christmas!) Weddings…

With the new weather we are experiencing it feels like our summer wedding season is over! We have 3 more weddings this month, a few autumn weddings next month and then we are suddenly into Christmas weddings and events. We love playing seasonal repertoire and there is something rather special about having a Christmas Carol in for church weddings in place of a hymn. Please click on our Christmas repertoire to find out what we have.

We have 2 weddings this weekend – the long awaited wedding of Nat & Adam at Goosedale and a summer Saturday wedding at Ringwood Hall.

Hope this beautiful weather holds :-)

June is upon us….

We have just finished a busy weekend of weddings – a beautifully intimate wedding at the George in Stamford on Friday, a wedding at Malmaison in Birmingham on Saturday and a wedding (plus a groom’s 60th birthday) on Sunday at the Priest House in Castle Donington.

The rest of the month is equally as busy for the quartet with weddings at the West Retford Hotel, a few weddings at Mosborough Hall, Ardencote Manor, Swinfen Hall, Morley Hayes and a reception for a clinical society at Nottingham University.

April weddings

Well the sun is shining (on some days!) and wedding season is upon us.

Highly Strung Quartet and Trio are looking forward to weddings this month at venues including Tom Brown’s (a fantastic Brasserie in a Victorian school house setting), Stubton Hall (a 19th century country house in acres of countryside) and Kilworth House (this grade II listed building has a theatre, a splendid orangery and 38 acres of woodland and parkland).

New repertoire for 2014

Highly Strung have plenty of new music for 2014 including some new Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Christina Perri songs.
